Jeanne DeMartino - RxExercise Ambassador to San Francisco Half Marathon 2008

In February this year, I passed an important breast cancer milestone: 5 years cancer clear! Whew! And, Hooray!

I have one more year to be on a very strong cancer drug, but I'm "Living Well Beyond cancer" because of my regular RxExercise, race walking, indoor rowing, and strength training. I want to help others to get the same irreplaceable benefits of RxExercise.

My next big goal is to race walk the San Francisco Half Marathon on Aug 3, 2008, as a Team Member of the CC RxExercise Ambassador Team to San Francisco.

I imagine race walking across San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge as a real life expression, step by step, of how I feel like I'm passing from a life as a cancer patient to a whole new, happier-healthier life, because of all the steps I've been taking to stay alive, alive and strong especially for my kids, grandkids.

As a Charities Challenge Coach & RxExercise Ambassador, I want to help bring Charities Challenge RxExercise services, programs and events to others with a variety of health challenges.

I have better met my own chronic disease challenges, congenital degenerative joint disease, osteoarthritis and breast cancer, because of my regular RxExercise habits of race walking and rowing, and want to help others to discover the same Power of RxExercise to greatly improve one's quality of life despite chronic, sometimes incurable, diseases.

Charities Challenge Leaders and Members have been "by my side" throughout my last five years of a happy, strong comeback from cancer.

Every day that I walk with my CC Team Mates is a happier, healthier day for me, and for them.

Please join me in "Taking the RxExercise Challenge" and contribute what you can in support of my RxExercise Ambassadorship, my conintuing comeback from arthritis and cancer, and Charities Challenge's daily benefits to all exercisers and especially challenged athletes.

Thank You!
